Horizon 2020 information meetings

Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy and the Bio-based industries Joint Undertaking

On 8 October, VINNOVA and Formas invite you to a Horizon 2020 information meeting about the calls on Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy within Horizon 2020 and the Bio-based industries Joint Undertaking.

The information meeting is aimed at actors from universities, institutes, companies and public sector who are actively seeking funding for collaborative research and innovation projects within the food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy (challenge 2 within Horizon 2020) as well as in the Bio-Based area. The upcoming work programme offers great opportunities for Swedish actors in the area.

The meeting provides an opportunity to meet with Dr Barend Verachtert, Deputy Head of Unit Bio-based products and processing. Dr Verachtert, will give an overview of the opportunities within the upcoming call in Challenge 2 within Horizon 2020 and the Biobased industiries Joint Undertaking.

There will also be project examples from Horizon 2020 funded projects who will share their experiences on setting up projects within the area. The Swedish Programme Committee expert from Formas as well as VINNOVA's National Contact Point (NCP) for challenge 2 will be at the meeting. There will be opportunities for networking and more informal discussions during the coffee break. The seminar will be held in English and webcasted via www.vinnova.se.
